About Me

I started playing hockey at Petone rink outside Wellington in 1959. Team members included Melvie & Dennie McKelvie Ken Tullock, & Ron Royal to name a few. 1960 the Glide rink opened in Kilburnie Wgton, and i was a founder member. 7 games for Mt Wgton before going and finishing my apprenticeship with Hamilton in 1961. That apprenticeship took another 15 years. I retired after the nationals in 1978. I have coached in the 2nd division and ladies section, plus junior boys. My claim to 3 minute fame, was coaching Peterbourgh in England. They were in last place on my arrival and finished 6th on goal average. We only lost 3 games in the preceeding two rounds. I thought my skating ability was of International standards, but was never recognised my my captains or coaches, lol and was relegated to goalkeeper.

Pot Belly Pigs are one of the most popular animals which can fed at home in Vietnam. Differently from American or European pigs, Pot Belly Pigs dimensions are large or medium, even the adult ones, in spite of their burden is between 27 and 136 kg. You can separate a pot bellied pigs from the other pot belly pigs by looking their size or having upright ears and straight tail. If a pig has belly which dangles to the floor, it shows us that the pig is overweight. Howsoever they have pot belly or a carried back up, they don’t show us the weight. Pigs in wnough weight still has the sway and belly but the innominate bone can easily be felt with minimum force and the eyes should be well obvious. Because a pot bellied pigs are like normal farm animals. They can be crossbreed. The Swedish Agriculture Ministry has been supporting Vietnam with its porc product by bringing out big descriptions of pigs into Vietnam since the mid-1980s.

The Vietnamese and Swedish governments have discovered that local Vietnamese pig variety lives only in mountainous district of Vietnam and Thailand. Now the Vietnamese government is supporting local farmers who raises pot bellied pigs because it discoveres that they are fecund or large like other pigs.

Boars that are un-neutered male pigs has became fecund at their adolescent period, way back from getting really mature. Pot-bellied pigs are believed enlarged iat their six, when the epiphyseal plates in their backbones finally cease.
