Papatoetoe smash Wellington in the final of the Australasian Championships Yesterday, 13 - 6.

Yesterday we saw many skillful goals and determination from the Papatoetoe team to take the title, the team were wanting this as the champs were held in their home stadium. Papatoetoe lost to Wellington in the earlier stages and was looking forward to the Final to make up for the loss.

Third Place went to Stafford after a hard game with Melbourne. Stafford taking third place was well deserved with the team really finding their stride later in the tournament. Melbourne one of the favorites for the tournament settling for fourth place. North Sports took 5th and New Plymouth finishing 6th.
