NZ wins again making it four wins in a row

NZ perform the Haka for Japan

NZ played against a in form Japan team this morning needing this to win the group to finish 9th. The Team once again showed some passion to break the line and score the goals that were needed. Mark Turner was at his best scoring 5 goals with Rob Vazey scoring 2, John Bardo 1 and Dean Fitness 1. The greatest acheivements go to the goalies as we had the referees awarding 5 direct penalties against our team. This creates a hard game when you are unfortunately playing hard and then being dealt poor decisions, but only 2 out of the five were scored.. Well Done both Goalies. Also Mark Turner and Rob Vazey both got sent off with Blue cards, and Alley Langridge, John Bardo getting yellow cards. This made it very hard on the coach Russell Clark's heart...

The team now are reflecting as a team and as always it was only a lapse of 6 minutes in one game that cost the team the chance to be playing in the semi's. This is dissapointing and alittle heart wrenching when we knew we can beat that team and were goals up. The top NZ goal Scorers are as follows: Mark Turner 16, Rob Vazey 6, Alley Langridge 5, Tony Deller 5, John Bardo 4, Dean Fitness 4, Rohan Singh 3, Isaac Fraser 1.

The team Stats were:

Placed 9th

8 games played, 4 Wins, 4 Loses

44 goals for

48 goals against.

Thanks to all you that have followed our progress, it is great knowing we have supporters, along with our Management team Russell Clark Coach, Roger Bedford Travelling Manager and Vicki Bardo Team Manager.

Thanks again to you all for a very enjoyable trip.

A great effort guys. It was great watching your progress through the tournament. Unbelieveable for you to win 4 in a row. And the ABs lost to the Ozzies just to rub salt into the wound.

Well done everyone, great to end the tournament on a high. We'd love to see that Haka on skates. You certainly did better with your haka than the all blacks last night, they lost!

I bet the "haka" (mite wanna change your heading when youre over the jetlag Rob :)) aint easy to do on skates !! Awesome news - 4 wins in a row - wow !! Shame the ref was so twitchy over what was undoubtedly passion to win the game - with all the sendoffs and penalties. Kudos indeed to the goalies - they are worth their weight in gold - but to all of you - NZ should be very proud !
