Australia go down 4 - 2 to Uruguay
Australia went down against Uruguay after a hard match, with Glen Cox still unable to play due to injury the team are still playing well. The team will meet USA tomorrow at 7pm and this will be a knock out match to make the semi finals. USA have finished top of section B and look strong just beating Macau 12 - 3, although with the way Australia have been playing they could role the states and put them into the final position.
If Australia keep there composure and play with heart they are able to make the semi's securing a place in the top 4, this would be a huge acheivement for them.
The NZ team wish them the best.
NZ vs Holland
With NZ meeting the top seeded team we new we were up against it with Rob Vazey out and other injuries within the team it was going to be a major ask. The main thing was to play with pride, this they did with scoring 4 goals matching the highest goals to be scored against them it shows we still have some fire power.
Goal scorers Tony Deller, John Bardo, Dean Fitness and Alley Langridge with a fantastic slap shot. Unfortunately Holland kept there top team on most of the game and kept the pace on showing there skill and passion for the game taking NZ 15 - 4.
Rob Vazey will stand down the next game against India as he did today and most of the Israel match to be ready for the games against Japan and the rematch against Israel, this is important as we need to beat these teams to finish 9th. Rohan Singh looks to be back to full health and we should have all other injuries clear by Fridays game.
Both goalies have been up against it and Richard and Damo have played well. Damion Wilson has saved many penalties and has really been an asset to the team..
Go the Roller Blacks... and Go the Aussies in there next few games....
