Day Three and Four in Darmstadt Germany

Posted on October 20, 2010 at 7:04 PM

Day 3

Started the day with training then played the Darmstadt Old Boys in the evening. The Old boys average age is 41 and the NZ team's average age is 35. Not a lot in it really, a few of the old boys team have been in the Germany National team so they were very skillfull. The game was a freindly match and was a great fun game. The NZ team really appreciated the game and the beers after the match in the club rooms, thanks guys!!!

Day 4

Rest Day

Decided to go to Heidelberg for the day to do some sight seeing, it was a good decision as the castle was amasing. We had lunch and walked around some more and then caught the train back. This trip took up the whole day and then we went to the opening of the European U20 Womens Championships held in Darmstadt.

This was great and we got to see Spain play France and Germany play England. Spain won 8-0 and Germany won 4-2.

The girls showed great skill and this looks to be a great tournament.
